I wouldn't call myself fickle, but I do laugh at myself at times. Only about 3 posts ago I claimed I would never wear palazzo pants; they weren't me, they made me look stumpy, I couldn't get my head around something that wasn't a peg. I tried; I bought a rather natty pair of palazzo's from Next (leopard print and everything!) but they ended up going straight back because I just couldn't see how I would make them work.
...and then I found these ones in Topshop, in the sale for £10. What initially attacted me to them was the material, I love the silky, drapy feel of them and the pleats in the front mean they hang really well, they look more like a maxi skirt than some trousers I've seen and I think in my head this makes them easier to wear! I also love the colour which Topshop say is 'Olive' but I think they are more a tawny camel colour which means, yes, they slip seamlessly into the colourscheme already ravaging through my wardrobe. I think they'll look nice with a pop of neon pink for summer, or made to look even more vintagey with a floral blouse. I can have fun playing around!
I feel very Dolce & Gabbana in this get up-the trousers do remind me of pajama bottoms-you know, the ones that you would wear to waft round the boudior in-but I think I am pulling them off-just. I love how vintagey this outfit looks; I paired the trousers with this silk Quiksilver Women's blouse which I found on eBay for a stupid price-I think it was about £8 and it came with the tags on with the price of £92.50. See, it pays to search about for things! I am having to, because I'm skint!
They are trousers, honest!

It was so nice to feel the sun again today. It was a bit short lived because after Adrian took these shots for me, it chucked it down! But that's ok because I am chilling out today-catching up on my blog reading, watching bad TV and playing Nintendogs on the DS-it's the next best thing to having a real one! (we're not allowed one in our flat and I am desperate for a minature poodle or daschund. So now I have both!)
Hope you're having a lovely Sunday...Happy Mother's Day to all the mummies out there and especially to the best mummy in the world....mine!

I am exactly the same! I will claim NEVER to wear something only to find a little while later that -cough- it might be in my closet! I did it with playsuits last year ha-ha. They are amazing trousers though! They're so classy and elegant!
