For someone who is irresistably drawn to French chic, it would only be right, then, that one of my inspirations for AW11 came from the French fashion house Carven. After it's launch only 2 years ago, the brand has gone from strength to strength and presents beautifully turned out women who are 'properly dressed' and look chic, sophisticated and quirky: in short, my aim for achievement every day. These women are now my point of reference and I will be stocking up on mustard, navy, black and camel for my Autumn wardrobe, as well as a bit of check to throw in-I have a pleated vintage midi in a Prince of Wales check which these images have now inspired me to wear. I am in lust with the drape dress in the first image and will totes be wearing my coat as a cape come Fall. My purchase project is going well, I purchased an Angel Jackson belt for my August buy which I'm yet to show you but the limey-mustard tone of it's leather and the glossy gold plated jaguar will look incredible over a camel jacket when the weather turns. I am definitely thinking about buying a piece of Carven at some point....if you want to get on some of the style yourself you can buy it from BlackWhiteDenim or Net-A-Porter.
