Most of my regular readers will know that I'm a trouser girl, I feel a lot more comfortable in trousers than skirts or dresses; however this could be just because a) I had to wear a skirt and dress as my school uniform, so I've developed feelings of unease stemming from this (they were vile) or b) I just haven't found the perfect style for me yet. Now, if I ever do wear a skirt or dress, I like to rock an ankle boot with it to make it look less prim. Conversely, I have loads of pairs of ankle boots and very little else, shoe wise, in my wardrobe. Makes sense! I wear a lot of cropped, tapered shaped trousers so sometimes it's nice to have a pretty shoe to show off under it; and these beauties would be perfect for the upcoming party season. I would wear them with a chiffon blouse and a pretty pedicure with a pair of sleek black or coloured trousers for a different take on the usual 'party' outfit. I love the glitter on the French Connection pair, the Ravel pair's velvet bows, and of course that gorgeous rock chic leopard print on the pair from Bourne.
