Fave

Blazer: Vintage
Dress: Primark
Boots: Minelli via Spartoo
Ring: Mawi x Disney
Hat: Primark

I finally feel I have hit my stride with this skirt malarky, and this is probably my favourite outfit to date. As I've tried different looks in an attempt to rediscover and redefine my style, never have I felt happier in a skirt than when I am wearing a midi. I gave the mini's a whirl but I just feel they're not me-this is definitely more my cup of tea and I like the fact that I can waft about in this without looking too boho, it still retains some of the slickness and sharp elements that I like to keep in my style. The dress is a classic Primark number which I bought last year to wear to a friends wedding-but why should it be regaled to the back of the wardrobe now that the event has come and gone? By sticking a jacket over the top and adding tights and boots I feel it transitions into daywear really nicely. Plus the design of it does make it look more like a skirt and top combo than a dress, I think. I added a studded belt (from Gap) to give it a bit of edge (after discarding the naff plaited belt that the dress came with) and clashed up the black top half of the dress with my vintage navy schoolboy blazer. The faux fur hat makes the look a little more weather appropriate and the tights and boots (note! Not my Bullboxer ones!) keep my feet and legs toasty!
I hope you like this look, I think it's definitely my favourite so far but I'd love to hear your thoughts! I promise I will get back to all the lovely comments you've left me; I'm going to spend Sunday afternoon checking out all the lovely blogs you've left me to read!
XO Amie
Edit: I forgot to add that a lot of you had asked where I was getting my tights from. At the beginning of the year I was lucky enough to find a bargain bin in Topshop with loads of tights in, with no packaging, all reduced to £1. I bought about 8 pairs not realising that a lot of them were actually quite cute, with the hearts on, and the bow suspender ones-I thought they were all just plain black so I grabbed them to stock up! Definitely keep your eyes peeled for reduced stock in Topshop though as I've seen them do this before; and who wants to pay extra just for packaging you're likely to discard?! Also, for those who asked, my leopard print scarf in the last post was from H&M x
