I know yellow is a colour that divides everyone but I really think that the right shade really makes all the difference. In my opinion, the easiest way to wear yellow is to choose a delicious lemon sorbet shade. It's easier on the complexion that the brighter citrus or sulpher tones and actually fits right in with your existing wardrobe-how yummy would this top look with blue skinny jeans?
What I also love about it is the pleating detail, I'm not sure how easy it would be to iron (always thinking of the practicalities, me!) but it's so pretty and really 'different' from the usual styles of blouse you see over the high street. Plisse pleats are always a fashionable choice because they are flattering in a way box pleats aren't, as they fit and skim the figure rather than adding bulk, and the juxtaposition of the pleated texture with the sheer chiffon fabric is divine.
Where's this lovely piece from; then? Anyone hazard a guess? Reiss? Whistles? Er....no, Matalan actually. The quality of the products popping up on the website right now are knocking my socks off and this is going straight in my basket. I love it! At a wallet friendly £18 it's an easy decision for me to make; it's a beautiful top and will look fab with loads of different looks. Sold! You can buy one for yourself here.
Happy Easter to one and all!
