Being the middle of summer n'all, you'd think my wishlist for payday would be chock full of summer essentials-bikini, booty shorts, little floaty tops, sunnies....but it's the UK, people, which basically means that this month I'll be buying things to add to my summer dresses to lend me a little bit of warmth. Irritating, isn't it? I am definitely going to have to go on a beach holiday somewhere sunny, I feel, to get my dose of vitamin d.
So what do I want this month? Well, I am noticing a trend for really fine rings at the moment, and as someone who doesn't wear heaps of jewellery, this is one thing I can get fully behind. I love the one above from Whistles which is quite reasonably priced at £12.
When it comes to footwear, well, flipflops and ballet pumps just don't cut it in the rain. I have always loved the square toe and chunky heel of the Acne lowrider boots; they'd look great toughening up my summery dresses. The Minnetonka moccasins are a more boho choice which I'd wear with rolled skinnies or my pelmet skirts.
My beloved Gap grey slouchy knit is getting a lot of wear in this despicable weather and this See by Chloe one would give it a much needed break. I love the boxy shape and finer knit detail.
The slouchy Zoe Karsson tee is something I probably will buy-I've clocked it in the Harvey Nick's sale and it's now half price. Still expensive for what it is, but I love the quirky bat print and I also really like the quality of the cotton, it's so soft.
Finally, I'ma need a large tote to chuck all my extra layers in (spare shoes, brolly, cardigan/jumper, scarf) and this folding Le Pliage from Longchamp does just that. I have a large one so I am going to invest in the medium sized as large is too big for everyday (it's more of a weekender size)
