On Monday, I celebrated my 29th birthday. I had a really lovely day which I spent snooping round shops of the antique, junk and charity variety, getting huge bunches of flowers and being treated to lunch. It was all the more special to do all of this with Adrian who had managed to get the day off work. I got to thinking about the ageing process, how I dress so differently now to 10 years ago when I was 19. I tend to invest more now, in classic pieces that have longevity, and sadly I seem to wear a lot less colour the older I get!
I managed to squeeze a little bit in, in this look in any case, with the addition of these blue Betty London leather brogues. I am loving the combination of a little skirt and a flat shoe at the moment, something I've never really worn but has started to become my signature. Add a rather statement pair of specs (they are actually specs, not 'fashion' ones, but I really only need them for reading/watching telly) and I'm good to go!
My cardigan is a vintage one which is looking a little tattered as the years go by but ultimately gets better with age. Hopefully that's a good description of me, too!
