Channelling Audrey

 Jumper: Gap Trousers: c/o Phase Eight Shoes: La Tenace 

There's no doubt about it, the seasons are in change. The morning air is crisp and I can no longer just wear a jumper to walk to work; a coat is definitely needed. Cropped trousers are perfect at this time of year, when it's not quite appropriate to wear my boots yet, but it's getting too chilly for skirts and bare legs. 

Dogtooth is set to be huge for the upcoming season, and what better way to wear it than on a slim cut, Audrey Hepburn-esque crop. I absolutely love these trousers, which you can shop for yourself here; they are the perfect combination of style and shape; the almond and black colourway makes them not only super easy to pair with pretty much any other shade in your wardrobe, but also the creamy almond checked with black is a lot more flattering and a lot less "chef" than some cheaper, black and white alternatives I've seen. 

I have got quite short legs (I'm short all over!) but these trousers reached my ankle as you can see and I think they'd look great with heels. I am also tempted to cuff them up for a different look but I love how French-chic they look left unturned. Paired with a red lip and a slouchy knit, I have my perfect Autumnal day look all sewn up. Now, where's my beret?
