Betty London "MIXY" Glitter Toe Cap Shoes available at Spartoo
One of the biggest shoe trends of late that has clomped it's way all over the Fashion Week catwalks is that of a chunky little block heel. As all my blog readers will know, I'm a huge fan of ballet shoes, so a ballet shoe with a little heel attached is clearly the next phase of obsession for me. I mean, you get the comfort of a ballet shoe with the slight elevation of a heel which adds inches to your height (perfect for a shortie like me) and also is slightly more elegant on the legs than a flat, I find.
My particular favourite style at the moment comes from the Betty London brand. I've got a pair of brogues by Betty London and I can't say enough good things about them; for the price you pay, the quality of the craftsmanship is unbelieveable. Betty London are also at the forefront when it comes to high fashion trends, so you can get the latest looks in high quality materials, for a price that won't break the bank.
This pair of "MIXY" block heeled ballerinas is a case in point for me. I must own them, they must be mine. They are a) beautiful, b) fashionable, and c) comfortable to boot. I will wear them with my little skirts, with my cropped trousers, with my skinny jeans and boucle jackets, and I will love that they add a sparkle to my step every single day. They are a little French too; they have a certain something about them that shrieks "left bank chic" and will definitely inject some Parisian flair to my looks.
Flat shoes aren't just for daywear, either. Christmas seems a way off yet, but soon the party season will be kicking up a notch and what better way to spend an evening than dancing in these pretty little pumps, the glitter reflecting the disco lights! With a skinny pant and a pretty blouse they'll make the perfect starting point for so many festive outfits. In sum: J'adore these shoes!
What do you think of the trend for block heels? Would you buy these shoes?
