I'm starting a new feature on my blog which I will (unimaginatively) be calling Wednesday Wants. Its not really a new feature because I used to post "wish lists" quite often and for some reason I've let these fade away...probably because I am always finding something or other to shout about, there's too much to designate to just one post!
The subject of my Wednesday Wants today is a whole look based around texture. From one of my favourite high street/online vendors, this gorgeous look comes courtesy of Phase Eight, and what I love about it is the glorious mixture of colours, textures and shapes within all of the pieces.
To begin with, this tweedy/boucle "Marylin" tunic has got my name written all over it. This has actually been bookmarked for a pay day purchase-I absolutely adore everything about it; from the shape and the colour (so me!) to the wonderful detailing around the neckline and the (hidden in my picture) back zip.
I've teamed it with this shawl collar coat, mainly because it would take a stronger woman than me to resisit a classic navy coat, and the nubbly texture of this one caught my eye and stole my heart. It's such a beautiful piece and, like most of Phase Eight's products, is timeless in a way that I could definitely invest in.
To counteract all that roughness, please, let me introduce the most perfect day clutch in the form of this luxe suede number. The Thandie bag is impeccable in it's understated elegance and will bring more than a touch of class to any daytime or evening looks.
Finally, no outfit would be complete without a decent shoe, and this autumnal, brogue detailed pair more than deliver the goods on that front. I love the stacked heel and the lace up detail which will look as lovely with a pair of rolled skinnies as they will with this tunic.
What do you think of this look? Do you like to mix textures in your looks?
XO Amie
I LOVE Phase Eight right now, I so want all of this! x
