In the middle of January, it seems a bit silly to be posting about sunglasses but you never realise how much you actually use your sunnies all year round. The winter sun is often really low so when we're lucky enough to get those cool, crisp days where the sun filters through the trees (see my previous post!) a decent pair of sunglasses is an essential.
I usually buy cheap ones as I have a habit of losing them but after going through about 6 pairs last summer due to breakage, I feel like it might be wise to invest in a pair that might have a bit more of a shelf life!
I've picked a few shapes and styles that I wanted to share with you. First up, these classic Ray Ban UK wayfarers. I absolutely adore this shape and, let's be honest, who could go wrong with a pair of black, glossy sunnies? This shape frame really suits everyone and looks great as an everyday style, from breton chic with a striped top and skinnies to glam with a cashmere cardi and slim cropped trouser.
Also in my pick are the similar shaped Tom Ford Sunglasses pair which come in a warmer mottled tortoiseshell colourway. I love the gold piped detail on the arm of this pair which really adds a touch of luxe to any look.
For high octane glamour, look no further than these gorgeous styles by Jimmy Choo and Chloe. I really like that oversized, Hollywood/Cali girl look rocked by Nicole Richie, The Olsens et al. The glimmer of burnished gold on the Chloe pair will warm up the face and catch the light beautifully, and those Jimmy Choo's really deliver a 'hiding from the paps' vibe to a look!
What do you think of my picks? Do you wear sunglasses in the wintertime? And what shape do you choose?
XO Amie
