For some reason I've really got into watching episodes of (now arguably a cult classic) The Hills in my spare time. Of all the girls I think I like Whitney's eclectic style the most, but I do have a soft spot for a few of LC's outfits, and particularly it's of note that the girl gives good shoe. She always has a fabulous pair on, whether they're flats for school or a sophisticated heeled pump for interning at Teen Vogue.
Recently I watched an episode where she met a girlfriend for lunch and was wearing a really simple, chic outfit, comprising ripped knee skinny jeans, a loose, flowing blouse in a punchy colour, and the most incredible heeled shoes, almost like high heeled clog sandals. I wanted to see if I could track some down-despite the show being a few years out of date now, it just goes to show that an elegant outfit will stand the test of time.
I managed to find the almost exact pair by Fly London, albeit with added piping, although this adds a touch of cuteness, I think. They are available on an online store I've only recently discovered, called Escape Shoes. The store stocks lots of fairly low key brands that can be difficult to get hold of on the high street; like, for example, Fly London but also bigger brands like Fred Perry, Hunter and Ugg. They have lots of offers and discounts of up to 60% too, which is always good for me (on a neverending quest for a bargain!)
