You might remember from this post here I spoke about my love for what I consider 'the granny shoe.' This is a shoe that could seem a little dowdy, but when styled with a more modern outfit, helps to add the right amount of quirk to make the overall look super interesting. With this in mind, I'm always on the look out to see which other granny-esque shoes I can add to my collection!
These super cute flat shoes from Gabor at Spartoo fit that bill perfectly. They are a little too blocky to be a 'trendy' ballerina, but that's not what I'm looking for here. Instead, I'm happy to see a little heel, a patent upper, and as for that swoonsome grosgrain bow...!
Navy is such a lovely colour, one of my all time favourites in fact, especially during the winter months when I can pair it with my other favourite neutrals, camel and grey. I think navy shoes look so elegant and chic, and are so much more interesting than black ones!
High cut ballerina pumps are my favourite shape of shoe at the moment, because they are really comfortable and look so nice with every outfit, from skinny jeans to mini skirts. I have a constant battle going on between slipper shoes, loafers, brogues and ballerinas to discern my favourite flat, but when I see a beautiful shoe like this, I know I'll always have a soft spot for a classic ballet pump!
What do you think of these?
XO Amie
