Last Saturday I braved the torrential downpours and headed over to Bath for a Christmas blogger meet arranged by the lovely Megan from A Briar Rose. She had organised the whole day, including a meet in the morning with Christmas gifts for everyone, a trip to the Fashion Museum in the afternoon and she also single handedly showed us all around the beautiful architecture and sights that Bath had to offer.
The day started with myself, Tara, Kelly and Dulcie catching the train together to head over to meet the rest of the group. I managed to meet a couple of bloggers who I've been following for ages but not ever got around to speaking to face to face, namely Char from T-rexes and Tiaras and Lucy from Shiny Thoughts (who I only managed to say hello to briefly!) but it was a pleasure to see them and also some of my other faves-Lyzi, Sarah, Steph and Gemma and also the lovely Rebecca and Joe. I also met the beautiful Vivi. I absolutely love meet ups for this very reason; I get to make new friends and meet people in real life that I chat with on the internet!
After all this meeting and greeting, we hopped on a short distance to the Bath Fashion Museum and spent a good part of the afternoon lusting over beautiful fashions from days gone by. The 1960's section was my favourite and I fell in love with a dusty pink two piece suit which was utterly charming. I also adored the Chanel star print outfit and I loved how the mannequin's makeup had been matched to her look!
It was soon time for tea and Tara, Kelly and I nipped off to a vintage tearoom nearby, perhaps a bit early as we missed the group photo! Whoops! We soon warmed up in the pretty cafe and treated ourselves to tea and cake and spent the rest of the afternoon chat chat chatting!
The whole day was so lovely and I hope I get the chance to attend another such meet soon!
XO Amie
