Marni x H&M blouse // Miu Miu charity shop shoes // Christmas tree is up! // Mince pie // Double denim // Essential Christmas viewing // Lusting over the Damart lookbook // Super cute gift from the Bath Christmas Meet // Spectres in action last Sunday
My Instagram posts are a little bit hit and miss at the minute, I seem to be so busy lately that I've no time to stop and take some snaps-must rectify this! I have, however, managed to get a few in this week to share!
I attended the Bath Christmas meet on Saturday (perfect opportunity to take some pics, but I had my other camera so my camera phone was surplus to requirements!) and I had such a lovely day, meeting some lovely girls and looking at the Bath Fashion Museum which is somewhere I've been wanting to go for a while. I will dedicate a post to this meet (coming soon!) but I did snap this necklace that I was given as a gift for attending. It's a little sweet and is by Sugar and Vice, which isn't a brand I've heard of before but I've since checked out their website and they have some really cool things!
On Sunday Adrian's band Spectres played in the evening providing support for Factory Floor. I went and watched them and they were amazing and SO LOUD. This weekend was pretty amazing in all; on the Saturday night I was a bridesmaid for my amazing friend Carla who had a mock wedding in Bristol before she and her boyfriend left to move back to Australia (and get married for real) this week. It was hands down one of the best weddings I've ever been to, Carla looked resplendent in a dress that Cyndi Lauper would have been jealous of and I wore beehive hair and a bright purple dress with a crystal tipped collar. I hope some photos come out! There were 4 of us bridesmaids and we each wore a (intentionally) hideous dress in a really bright colour but we all looked wicked, I thought! If any of the photos come out, I'll be sure to share them! Just before the ceremony, the groom was accidentally hit in the face with a guitar and was covered in blood-it doesn't get much more rock & roll than that! We finally waved them off in the small hours of Wednesday morning and it was really emotional, when I moved to Bristol Adrian already knew Leroy and Carla and had told me all about them, and I knew when I met them we would be great friends. They made Bristol feel more of a home to me than I ever thought it would and it doesn't feel right now that they've gone. But, it's a good excuse for a holiday to Australia!
That aside, it's been quite a festive week too, having finally started my Christmas shopping and after putting up the tree and watching both Home Alone 1 and 2 I am finally in the Christmas mood! The Holiday spirit has extended to my fashion choices, too-I dug out this brocade shell top I bought last year from the Marni x H&M collection, and I can't wait to wear it, the purple and gold brocade is so luxe and pretty! It's been a good week for charity shop finds, too-I dug out a pair of Bally boots I bought about a month ago and then promptly forgot about, and have been loving wearing those, and I also found a pair of Miu Miu mary janes in a charity shop on Tuesday!
Hope you've also had a good week!
XO Amie
