In a bid to break out of the pattern (excuse the pun!) that I have of buying only simple and neutral pieces, I have decided to create a little wishlist of pieces that I hope will inspire me to invest in some prints, patterns and colours for spring 2014. I appreciate these items don't look very springlike; it's easy to reach for pastel hues as the weather warms up but this is not really me and so I thought that it would be more appropriate to choose things that I like and would wear as opposed to items that might be of key trends.
I love the selection of prints and patterns I found at Persunmall, especially on the pretty blouses and dresses they stock. I am always drawn to anything with a collar, and these check, heart print and baroque print tops are equally cute and chic. I would wear these with skinny jeans and ballet pumps for a really girly and sophisticated look.
Likewise, I love the shape of these dresses; that sacky, tunic style cut is right up my street and I would wear these with my favourite lace up brogues and some thick tights for the chilly spring days. I am especially drawn to the intarsia knit dress with the little handbag detail; it's so pretty and unusual! I love the colour too, of course-I do love my neutrals and monochrome!
Finally I had to include a novelty item, of course! This cat face sweater is so funny and I think it's actually very wearable, with a high waisted, wide legged jean and a loafer it would add a touch of quirkiness to any look! I think it would also look sweet with a simple blouse underneath it.
What do you think of these pieces?
XO Amie
