Photo prints c/o Printic
I was recently contacted by photo printing company Printic who very kindly offered me the chance to review their photo printing service. For those who don't know, Printic is a free app, which you download to your smartphone, and you can then select photos from your phone, Instagram or Facebook account to have printed out on high quality, glossy photo paper. These are then sent directly to your door, or you can select to have them sent to a friend or loved one as a really lovely, personal gift.
I'd actually used Printic before and I had been really impressed with the service I received, from the process of downloading the app right through to the photo's arriving through the postbox, so I was really excited to have the opportunity to try it again. I love taking photos, especially on my phone (the camera is so good on smartphones nowadays!) but it's nice to have a tangible photograph to frame or put on the wall; gone are the days when a physical photograph was the only way to view a picture; in this digital age, there's no need to wait to get pictures developed, they can be snapped, saved and uploaded almost instantaneously. It's nice, then, to actually hold photographs in your hand; I'd almost forgotten how lovely they are.
This opportunity came at a good time as two of my girlfriends had bought me a frame for my birthday last year, which they'd wanted to put a photograph in of us on an evening out, but hadn't got around to getting it printed out. Printic prints out the photographs in manner of a polaroid, which is just a little more interesting than a plain print with no border, and will look great in my frame! The question is, which one to choose!
Printic is really user friendly, once you've downloaded the app, you are prompted to pick the images you want to use, be they from a social media platform or from your phones memory. Next, you can make any edits you need and add text or a caption if you want to. Finally, you are prompted to pay and you can then select whether you'd like the photos sent to yourself or as a gift for someone, in which case you can include a message so they know they're from you! The price per picture is €0.79, the app is French (so of course I adore it) and the prices are in Euro's, I think it's pretty reasonable and the pictures arrived ever so quickly after I'd ordered them; within about 3/4 days. This is particularly impressive considering delivery is free! They come in the cute orange envelope above, so you can see they'd make a lovely gift.
Now, for the Giveaway! Printic have very kindly agreed to give one of my readers 8 photos for free! All you need to do to enter, is follow Printic on Instagram here. And for an extra entry, you can 'Like' CreditCrunchChic on Facebook here. Once you've done that, leave a comment on this post with your email address so I can contact you if you win. I will close the giveaway on Monday 5th May, good luck!
