You might remember back in March I attended the #BrizBlogMeet and a lovely event it was too. I had a really fun and informative day, met lots of lovely bloggers and also spoke to several brands and PR gurus about ways in which I can make my blog better.
The icing on the cake of the day (somewhat tempered by a walk home in torrential rain!) was the amazing goodie bags we were all given at the close of the day. I don't often talk about things like this; (NB not bragging!) but I did want to share a couple of the products I was lucky enough to receive in a little review post (or posts; haven't decided whether this will be a collective series or a singular post yet!)
One of the brands included in my goodie bag was one I had never heard of before, Trevarno Organic Skincare. I really rate organic and natural products; my skin is pretty sensitive so it's nice to know I'm not slapping on a load of paraben or silicon loaded ingredients when I use a moisturiser!
The product I received was the Organic Overnight Replenishing Cream, which comes in two sizes, 30 or 60ml. It is a very rich formulation containing extracts of lavender, rosewood and cedarwood. The cream helps to nourish and rejuvinate skin overnight, leaving it looking beautifully smooth and refined.
I loved this product. It absorbed easily and had a really pleasant, but not overwhelming, scent which was very calming due to the lavender content. Lavender is one of my favourite smells, I think it gets a bit of a bad rep due to the 'old lady' associations but it really is a very calming and relaxing fragrance which is perfectly in step with what you'd want from a night cream.
Organic Trevarno began in 1998 on Trevarno farm in Cornwall and has consistently produced products that make the beauty world sit up and take note of them. Lauded by publications such as Vogue, the bespoke creations and handmade products could take pride of place in any bathroom, sitting easily next to more expensive, premium products. One of the reasons I like to get goodie bags at events (apart from clearly having lots of cool things to try out!) it that it allows me to discover brands that I might have never known about otherwise, especially smaller, more independent and boutique brands such as Trevarno.
Check out the website here for more info on the brand and also to buy online!
