Wearing: Zara jacket QSW blouse Whistles jeans Les Tropeziennes sandals
I've had these pictures sitting on my computer for a while and I've been meaning to post them but have had so much else going on they've been put on the back burner. I went over to Weston a couple of weeks ago and, whilst really sunny, it was fairly breezy and this was before the real opressive heatwave had struck, meaning a jacket was more than appropriate. This Zara one has been great for the cooler days as it's such an easy colour and style to wear. You can't see it so much in these pictures because my hair's down but it has a really nice frayed collar. I love small details like that which make a simple piece a bit more interesting.
I DIY'ed these jeans myself buy cutting off the hem; I've done that before with another pair here and I love the look. I am quite short and struggle to find jeans that fit my height properly and actually, these ones were always a bit too long so I chopped a bit off the hem and the fit is so much better. I always think you lose some of the cut when you have to roll a skinny jean, as you can get a lot of bulkiness if you have to turn them up more than one roll!
After being really into gladiator sandals I'm suddenly loving a more stripped back, basic look, and these Les Tropeziennes sandals work perfectly with that aesthetic. They are super comfortable, too, and go with everything; basically the perfect summer sandal.
