With the Harvey Nics fashion show two weeks ago and Bristol Fashion Week last week, I feel I am properly into the Autumn / Winter frame of mind in terms of fashion now. The weather has been really changeable, it is definitely not cold though and I put on chelsea boots this morning but had to take them off again because it's not boot weather yet. Which for gaining on October is quite unusual, but I'm not complaining!
I've definitely started to switch up my beauty routine for autumn, even if the clothing can't follow suit just yet. I've packed away the summery oranges, corals and pinks and in their place I'm embracing a more muted, neutral set of hues. I absolutely love a nude nail colour and when I saw the John Lewis magazine which showcased a model with different toned nails from the same shades, I knew I'd be able to recreate the look. I think it looks really different but still quite elegant, I used to paint every nail a different colour when I was younger but keeping them all from the same group of shades makes it a lot more grown up. I think I am going to buy a new shellac colour as then I can start doing gel nails again; I just got bored of the few shades I had, but I love the shine you get from shellac, it's just not so easy to replicate with normal polish.
Something else I've talked about this week in terms of beauty is skincare. I have posted about my top picks, and I still have to post an 'empties' review as well as wanting to try out the new oil range by L'occitane. This looks amazing and I think it's necessary to treat your skin to a little more luxury in the winter, as it usually needs it!
