Faux Fur heels from Missguided
I bought these heels from Missguided a week or so ago and I wanted to review them on my blog mainly because I've never bought anything from Missguided before and so I wanted to talk around the brand and the site and what the products are like. I know online ordering can be a bit hit and miss; especially with clothing and footwear because you are never sure of the sizes, but also because I am a very textural shopper, I like to handle products and feel them before I buy and of course you can't do this online. With 360 degree imagery and even filmed catwalks, online retailers are addressing these issues more than ever before; but I have to admit that one of the reasons that ASOS gets so much of my money is because of their free delivery and return features. Many's the time I've unpacked something I've bought expecting it to be amazing, but it feels cheap or is completely see through, so back it goes!
Sizing is also an issue. I find ASOS own brand comes up very large; not just clothing either, I am between a 3 and a 4 in shoes but in ASOS I always have to get the 3. I was a little worried about that when ordering from Missguided; it is unusual to find half sizes these days and Missguided only had these in a size 4 at the time I was ordering them so I hoped they would be ok. I found the fit to be pretty good; I would prefer a sandal to be a bit on the bigger side as I hate it when your toes go too close the the edge!
I bought these when I noticed Missguided were doing a 20% off footwear evening, I saw tweets from the brand and headed over to the website to have a look. I have been after a really simple pair of sandals for ages; I wanted a pair I'd seen in Topshop but unfortunately they sold out and I'd been unable to find anything similar, until I found these! They are so pretty; black velvet with a faux fur panel across the front of the foot; really unusual and the actual shape of the shoe is just lovely. They are a little higher than I would normally choose but they are quite comfortable; I think these would look amazing with jumpsuits or dresses or even to dress up jeans for a night out.
Price wise they were £27.99 which puts them on a par with I guess somewhere like New Look; I just really liked these as they were quite different to anything else I'd seen and I thought they would be the perfect Christmas party shoe! I think they are lovely.
XO Amie
