I am always thinking up great ideas for 'mini series' on my blog and then promptly forgetting all about them! I had got really into my 'wanted' posts, whereby I was posting a virtual wishlist every week or so, but this has fallen completely by the wayside and I haven't posted anything like this since November of last year! Anyway, I thought it would be a good time to resurrect the series as I spotted these shorts in my local Toppers last week and I really want to invest in them!

If you can believe it, I didn't take any shorts to Spain when I went on holiday. I took a midi skirt and some silk trousers, as I really wasn't sure how hot it would be (turned out it was boiling) and I did really wish I had packed a pair of shorts. I struggle to find shorts, however, because so many these days are so short! Luckily, this is a girlfriend style which means you get the high waist, but not the butt-munching effect!

I really rate my ASOS girlfriend jeans which I've worn so often on the blog, and I'm hoping that these shorts will be a short-version of those! They are also super comfortable, and I think that's important, especially when it's hot; the last thing you want to be worrying about are shorts digging in or feeling uncomfortable.

I also really like the raw hem detail on these and the fact that you can also roll them down, if you wanted to wear them a little longer. I think they would be a really useful wardrobe staple for the whole summer; from hot city days, to the beach, to a festival, they'll take you everywhere.
