Of course yesterdays post focused on the lovely day I spent at Camp WoWo with White Stuff celebrating their 30th birthday get together. I wanted also to post about the beautiful, balmy evening, hazy summer sunshine burning away to usher in a cool and clear night with a thousand stars peppering the night sky, the kind of sky you only see in the countryside where light pollution can't reach it.
Mum and I enjoyed an evening stroll around the site, before taking in some live music and tucking in to a delicious curry courtesy of COOK. It was really lovely and afterwards we took the heat away with some ice cream, and a glass or two of prosecco! Just before we headed back to the wagon for the night, we discovered a hot drinks area at the back of the food tent and were able to have a lovely cup of tea!
Sunday dawned brightly and we had a breakfast of sourdough bread, jam and fruit all from the local farm shop, which was lovely. Unfortunately the nice weather didn't continue and the forecast rain soon made an appearance, which didn't matter too much as we could pack our bags in the comfort of the wagon. All too soon the taxi had arrived to take us back to the station and home. It was such a wonderful weekend and I had the loveliest time. Thank you, White Stuff!
XO Amie
