Post-holiday care package c/o Jet2holidays
That 'after holiday' feeling is always the worst bit about the end of a lovely break, and as summer starts to wind down, it's that feeling all over again. Now there's little to look forward to until Christmas! And as anyone who lives in the UK will know, plenty of dreary and dull weather ahead!
I really felt like I needed a break after I came back from Primavera Sound this year. I had an amazing holiday but it was intense; late nights and busy days and when I came home I really felt as if I would benefit from a week by a pool somewhere! Adrian and I have not had a relaxed holiday of that sort since Portugal in 2013, and so a little post holiday care package was just the thing to get me thinking about next year's break away!
In my care package there were a few little things that you can pick up which can really help to lift the mood if you've come back from a holiday recently, or just long to go on one! This Nivea intensive moisture body lotion is just the thing to keep skin smooth and hydrated, and prolong that summer-soft skin feeling. Likewise, a splash of colour can really help lift your mood, and everyone looks better with a bit of a tan! I can't wait to try out these Garnier self tan body wipes.
Cute postcards are an inexpensive way to brighten up your living space and can be changed regularly according to your mood. I have some small frames in my bathroom that I use to display varying postcards and they can really help to cheer you up; or why not send one to a friend you've not spoken to in a little while? Much nicer than a Facebook message!
There was also a voucher for Pizza Express in the package, meaning I get to indulge in one of the nicer things about a holiday: going out for dinner! Food tastes so much better when you haven't cooked it and you don't need to worry about washing any dishes afterwards! On the topic of food, there was also a packet of sweets in the parcel, but Adrian scoffed them before I had a chance to snap them!
I also thought it would be a good excuse to post a picture of my new bikini. I don't actually own a bikini, and now is pretty much the perfect time to buy one ahead of next season; most of them are now in the sale! This one is from ASOS and you can get the top here and the bottoms here.
Have you got any tips for lifting your mood after a lovely holiday?
XO Amie
