Jewellery Favourites

Jewellery faves: ASOS watch (similar here) Whistles clutch (similar here) ASOS and vintage rings (similar here and here) Accessorize earrings (similar here)

With clarity in my day to day dressing thanks to my capsule wardrobe, I've been able to more clearly accessorize different looks with a little more thought that I had maybe given to my jewellery before. I always wear the same pieces, but occasionally it's nice to try out different styles and use them to add an edge to a simple look.

I usually wear a rose gold Marc Jacobs watch but I've recently been using this old ASOS one. It's really quirky and I like the simplicity of it; it's nice to wear a leather strapped watch after years of wearing a metal one and this, rather like the Marc Jacobs one, really goes with everything!

Rings are integral to my everyday accessorising and this very fine, stacked ring from ASOS is really pretty worn alone or worn with some other fine simple bands I have. I am not worried about mixing metals when it comes to jewellery, although I know some people prefer to just wear silver, or gold. I would probably always choose gold or rose gold over silver but I do like to wear a hint of that now and again. The rose gold sardonyx ring is definitely more of a statement piece and looks really chic worn alone, giving a bit of polish to my look without being too much.

I have my ears pierced several times but usually only wear one set of earrings, although I am also partial to wearing a couple of pairs of small studs. Usually I wear my hair down so they can't even be seen, and I wasn't at all sure about these double ended earrings when I first got them. However, I've worn them rather a lot; they remind me of the Dior pearl ones but at a fraction of the cost and they look much more expensive than the Accessorize price tag! I was surprised that they didn't irritate my ears either, as usually I find that high street earrings aren't always the best for sensitive ears but these ones were fine!

I also had to include this metallic Whistles clutch which usually serves as my kindle case, but I also use it as a bag from time to time. It's just big enough for all the essentials and I love the colour and cracked texture. Metallics are so lovely in summer but also work really well in winter, party season isn't too far off and this bag will be handy for that as well!
