Christmas by M&S #TheArtOfChristmas
On Wednesday I was invited down to my local M&S for a special #TheArtOfBlogging event. I have been to M&S events before and they are always great fun, with lots of activities and (particularly around the festive season) amazing food!
On arrival I was greeted with drinks and shown through the Christmas collection. We could try on any items we liked and there were some amazing pieces. I particularly liked the fluffy faux fur coats and luxe velvet jumpsuit, not to mention anything sequinned, shiny or glittery, of which there were items in abundance!
Makeup is a focal point for the new season and the range at M&S is extensive. They stock Stila and Pur among other brands and have a large own-brand range including fragrances and cosmetics by Autograph. I was treated to a manicure in between looking at the new ranges and trying some of the snacks and chose a deep burgundy shade from the autograph collection and it is such a lovely colour.
Homewares weren't forgotten, either, and Christmas is the perfect time to add some new touches to your home decor. Cushions and candles provided easy ways to bring the festive vibe into your home without blowing the budget!
Food is something that M&S is well known for and this season is no different. Chocolate and nut clusters, coconut and caramel popcorn and feather-light cracker biscuits with olives and dips were all on offer and gave excellent party food ideas. The cheese selection was also dreamy, with melting brie, strong cheddars and mozzeralla jostling for space next to sundried tomatoes and beetroot dips. Delicious!
