I'd heard of GOSH cosmetics before but never invested in the brand, though I liked the look of several of their products. You can buy the range in Superdrug stores and the prices are really reasonable; their minimal and chic Danish heritage is also evident in the edgy, simple packaging, and they don't test their products on animals.
I was sent a selection of products for face, eyes and lips. I was really impressed by the quality of the items; despite their affordable price points the colours are pigmented, the lipsticks are smooth and matte and the brand are at the forefront of makeup trends. One such trend led product are the lip oils; on first inspection they look like a gloss but are actually an oil treatment to soften lips whilst adding a hint of colour. They don't have the stickiness that I can't abide in a lip gloss and the clear one 'Sea Buckthorn' is great to use as a treatment or as a topcoat to lipstick.
I tested out the 'Forever' eyeshadow pencil on the back of my hand and was really impressed by the depth of colour pigmentation and also the staying power. This lives up to its name and did not budge; I had to use makeup remover to get it off my hand as washing with soap and water had no effect! I think this would look awesome through the crease or even over the lid for a luxurious evening look. I love products like this; simple to use and a 'one stop' item that requires minimal skill to apply!
Neutral palettes are probably the mainstay of most women's makeup bags and this palette is just lovely. All the colours are really wearable and easy to apply, the formula being silky and blendable without sheering out. I particularly like the browns and taupes for creating a really easy to wear, everyday eyeshadow look, especially when finished off with a slick of 'Rebel Eyes' mascara. Superdrug are currently offering a free shadow palette when you spend over £15 on GOSH, so if you have other items to buy, it's a great deal to take advantage of!
I love the matte lipstick trend that shows no signs of going away, and these pretty colours are right on trend for spring. The 'Raisin' shade channels that very Kylie Jenner, 90's lip look, but can be worn sheered down with gloss for an easier to wear take on the look. The other shade 'Smoothie' is a very pretty raspberry pink that mimics the natural lip colour for a great everyday lippie. It's going straight into my makeup bag!
Fresh, dewy looking skin is something I'd love to learn how to achieve, and this 'Lumi-Drops' liquid highlighter fluid will definitely help to add a touch of luxury to winterworn skin. Likewise this illuminating, skin perfecting primer helps to extend the life of your foundation, whilst providing a smooth and even base for application.
What do you think of GOSH?
