M&S block heeled shoes (here) Topshop faux leather wrap skirt (similar here) Archive by Alexa for M&S blouse (here)
Now well into the spring capsule, I thought I'd talk about how I'm getting on with it and some changes that I've made to the pieces that I'm wearing day to day. I knew that when the Archive by Alexa collection launched at M&S, I would struggle not to pick up an item or two, but after carefully considering what I actually needed vs what I just wanted, I settled for this ruffled blouse. I was really looking forward to the collection but a lot of the pieces left me feeling a little disappointed; I didn't like a lot of the fabrics and some of the craftsmanship wasn't what I had hoped. However, I did love this blouse and I am pleased I bought it as it is as nice for work dressed smartly as it is for the weekend with jeans.
I wanted a midi skirt to wear to work and this Topshop one was a sale find. I really liked the judo styling and it was actually much more reasonable than the Boutique version I originally wanted. It's a nice length and is super easy to wear casually with a fine knit or (in the summer) with a white tee tucked in.
Finally I needed to get a new pair of work shoes and I spotted these M&S ones when I was shopping the Archive by Alexa collection! What I love about M&S is that they offer a half size which means that shoes always fit really nicely. I liked the contrasting block heel on this pair.
I think that my spring capsule is now fully set up and I've got a lot of good options to last me until the summer capsule. I seem to have a lot of summer clothes anyway, so I'm sure that I'll be able to pretty much make do with what I have there, too!
XO Amie
