Reading list
I'd previously posted a 'reading list' back in December and since then I'm sad to say I've not seemed to have very much time for reading. With working and blogging, it seems to have taken a bit of a back seat which is a pity as it's one of my favourite past times. I've changed jobs and now work in an office, which means that the hour I would spend sitting down reading my Kindle has been replaced with either an few minutes eating at my desk or getting out of the office for a while to take my eyes off computer screens! I think once the weather is better I will make a point of going out for lunch and going off and sitting and reading for an hour. It really is something I enjoy so I will try and make time for it.
What I have found the time to flick through have been exactly that-coffee table books that don't require much concentration! Here are some of my faves.
It: She's an 'It' girl of sorts, and in this sort-of-scrapbook the wonderful Ms Chung diarises things that she loves, and things that she wouldn't be without. She also designates a section to the breaking in of footwear-Converse, admittedly, but adding to the conviction that she also took reference from Luella!
Paris Style Vol. II: What could make for a more interesting half hour than flicking through the homes of Paris's finest? Total home envy in every page, but also beautiful and inspiring.
Shopgirls: When I have managed to find a little time to sit and read, I've been enjoying this book about shopgirls, charting women's place in the retail sector. I spent almost two decades working in retail so this is an interesting and relatable read.
