Love Me Beauty bag April contents
I've spoken about my Love Me Beauty subscription service before on the blog and it's definitely become less of a subscription 'box' than a 'bag' as they now seem to have replaced their cardboard containers with canvas makeup bags each month. This is actually better for me as a) they now usually fit through the letterbox and b) they are actually more useful than a cardboard box which I would normally just put in the recycling bin anyway!
That's a good thing, but what's not so good, this month anyway, was that yet again, an item was missed from my order. I know these things can happen and perhaps I've just had bad luck to miss items twice, but I don't think it's very professional. I did contact the team and they have been helpful; they have said they are sending out the item (a makeup sponge) again and have also included a second sponge (which is kind, but I don't need it as I bought this with my credits last month.) It's just a bit of an annoyance and I have actually reconsidered as to whether I should continue my subscription-I really love the premise and the products too but it's unnecessary hassle for me to have to chase them up for their error! I wonder if this has happened to anyone else?
Anyway, on to the items I did get. I chose some more facial skincare this month along with a couple of bodycare bits; I was pleased to see that LMB are now stocking the Nuxe brand and the Huile Prodigieuse Or multi purpose dry oil (here) is one of my favourites. I used this constantly over the winter and although they only had a small size of the product up for grabs, it was worth picking up. RRP: £7
I also chose the Melting Body Scrub from the brand, (here) and I haven't tried any shower or bath products by Nuxe so I'm looking forward to giving this a go. It smells lovely and promises to smooth and exfoliate. Perhaps one to use before trying out some fake tan! RRP: £4
Finally from Nuxe I picked this Face Cleanser which is a gel formulation to remove makeup and impurities (here). Promising to soften the skin, it will be interesting to see how this stacks up against my cheapo Nivea cleanser which I am still using and loving! RRP: £3
I love the scent of oranges so I was keep to try this Orange Blossom Flower Water by Melvita (here) and I adore the fragrance-it's like a lighter version of my beloved Lush Karma perfume and is cooling and soothing on the skin. I think it's meant for face but I have also sprayed it on my neck and wrists and it has a lovely soft scent. RRP: £1.34
So, apart from the stress of missing an item from my order, I was pleased overall with the contents of the LMB bag for April. Hopefully the missing items will arrive without too much delay!
