Haircare favourites: Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence (here) // Batiste Blush dry shampoo (here) // Alterna Bamboo Style Boho Waves (similar here) // Umberto Giannini Grunge Glamour tousled salt spray (here)
There's been somewhat of a glut of beauty related posts on CCC of late but I always think that a chance of the season calls for a switchup in hair and skincare. I wanted to talk today about some particular favourite products of mine that were a real mainstay through the summer but that I would continue to use in the winter, too.
This Philip Kingsley Daily Defence Spray became my holy grail blowdry must-have. I had heard of the PK brand and in particular the 'Elasticiser' spray that so many beauty bloggers rate, but I adored this spray which made my hair soft and smooth when blow dried and also helps protect against the damage your hair can be subjected to daily.
I've tried many dry shampoos and I always go back to Batiste. I usually go for this blush version which is scented, but not too much. I don't find it makes my hair feel knotted or dry as some dry shampoos can do. I don't use too many other products in my hair, but I do like this Alterna bamboo style boho waves tousled texture mist. It gives my hair, especially after I've just washed it, a bit of 'guts' and stops it looking so fluffy.
Finally, my favourite and most used hair product ever; this sea salt spray by Umberto Giannini. I have fairly wavy hair and this makes it look so much more wavy and so much less frizzy! I used it a lot in the summer to get a really natural beach wave and I can't recommend it highly enough - also, it's only about £6!
