Last week, I was invited to attend the launch of the iS Clincal Fire & Ice treatment at S-Thetics in Bristol. This cosmeceutical brand originated from the US, but has rapidly gained in popularity this side of the pond, too, loved and recommended by models and actresses such as Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Jessica Alba. The products from iS Clinical are botanically drive, pharma grade cosmeceuticals, meaning that they have a scientific backing but are made from botanically based ingredients, containing no parabens or other nasties.

On arrival, we were greeted by Sherina Balaratnam who is a cosmetic surgeon and medical aesthetic specialist at S-Thetics. After introductions and an informal discussion introducing the S-thetics and iS Clincal, we were able to have a look around the surgery and went up to the treatment room to see some of the provisions available to clients. I was really impressed with the VISIA machine which takes photographs of your face from different angles, and allows the specialists to view the skin in great detail, looking at everything to pores to sun damage.

We were treated to a demonstration of the acclaimed Fire & Ice facial, which is an ultimate resurfacing treatment medi-facial which reduces fine lines, addresses problematic skin and encourages cellular renewal. Two treatment masques are applied to the skin and followed with a combination of cosmeceutical cremes and serums to soothe, hydrate and nourish the skin. I was given an amazing goodie bag with some samples to try, which I will be reviewing more fully in an upcoming post.

It was wonderful to visit S-Thetics and see all of the products and treatments that iS Clinical offer. The products help to treat a number of different skin complaints from rosacea to acne and the treatment suites are clean and well equipped.
