The November Edit: Archive by Alexa Templar coat here and Kirkgate mini here, Monki dress here, Monki shirt here, ASOS beret here.
I had promised myself that I wouldn't buy another coat this winter season - I've just got so many, and a fair few classics that work well season upon season, such as a navy maxi coat from Whistles and a vintage shearling coat which is perfect for downtime. However, when I clocked the Archive by Alexa Templar peacoat, I knew it would be perfect for my winter wardrobe. Adrian came to the rescue and bought it for me as a late birthday gift! How lucky and how lovely. I've just worn it once so far but it is beautifully crafted, incredibly heavy, and, I think, a classic that I will keep forever.
Also from the collection, which I spoke about at length here, was this Kirkgate mini which I ended up buying with some vouchers, making it only £15. I only have one mini skirt, which is a suede button down in navy, so this is a different piece and something I don't have in my wardrobe. I look forward to wearing it with tights and brogues, and a nice bit of knitwear!
Monki opened in Bristol on Saturday and the opening offer of 40% off was enough to make me get down to town on a Saturday morning and brave the queues. I picked up a handful of things, having queued up to pay for an hour (!) and couldn't be bothered to queue again for the fitting rooms so bought them home to decide what I would be keeping. I decided on this amazing rusty coloured, boxy shirt, which looks fabulous with my faux-leather trousers and I think will also look wonderful with indigo denim. I don't often wear colour but when I do, I love these natural, warm shades. I also chose this gorgeous oversized shirt dress, which I will pair with my leopard print ankle boots for an edgy but work-apropes look.
Finally, I had to pick up another hat for winter and I settled on this metallic beret from ASOS. I had originally picked a red beret from M&S but ended up returning it as the fit wasn't quite right - this one is much softer and easier to wear, and actually goes with most things surprisingly well!
