Over the holiday season it can be tempting to go all out with your makeup and try lots of different looks. I think it's a great opportunity to shake up your makeup, but I also think that sometimes the simplest looks are the best - especially if you are planning a showstopping outfit. 

My signature makeup look includes a winged eyeliner, so for an easy makeup look, this would be a staple. I apply my base first, and powder if I am going for a matte face look which can really help give your base longevity through an evening. Something I also like to do for a night out is to try a darker blush colour - this helps to give my face more depth and is a nice way of quickly adding definition and creating a more dramatic look. This Sleek blush in flushed is a new favourite - perfect for winter as it is a darker shade which is perfect for evening.

I was sent the Invogue Semi Permanent mascara to try out, and I was really excited to give it a go as I love the idea of not having to reapply my mascara before heading out. This product is just lovely - it applies really smoothly and lasts all day, as you would expect. It removes easily with eye makeup remover and definitely left my lashes darker and more defined even after taking it off. 

I have recently rediscovered my Lush Karma solid perfume and I absolutely love it. The blend of essential oils melts easily into the skin and the little tin is much easier to put in your bag for a night out - without the risk of it smashing or taking up too much space. The citrusy, patchouli based scent is quite spicy and perfect for the festive season.
