iS Clinical Cleansing Complex c/o iS Clinical
If you read my last post on the iS Clinical products I've been enjoying this winter, you'll know that I've been religiously using the serums on my skin each morning and evening. I understand that anything you put on your skin needs to have a clean base of application; there's no point putting product on dirty skin, as you'll just be pushing the dirt and grime around and not allowing the product to achieve their maximum potential. To this end, I have been cleansing, morning and night, with the iS Clinical cleansing complex.
Initially I was worried that using this product twice daily would be too much for my skin, and I am suffering with dryness, which is I think more in part to the weather, as there's no tightness to my skin which is so often associated with a cleansing product. Using just a drop of product, I work it into a lather after removing my makeup and gently massage it in. The complex foams up beautifully and really rinses away all of the days grime, along with any missed makeup! It leaves my skin feeling incredibly silky and ready for the next steps in my skincare regime.
A good resolution for 2017 is to take better care of my skin, and whilst I feel I do take good care of it, I aim to drink more water and really settle into a skincare routine that benefits my face. I will be 34 this year, and can notice lines and wrinkles around my eyes, as well as a loosening of elasticity around my jaw and in my cheeks. Whilst I appreciate that there's no stop for ageing, I would like to look as good as I can for as long as I can - I expect this is something that most women (and men!) strive for.
Using a cleanser twice daily refreshes and rejuvenates the skin. This product leaves my skin clean and fresh, without making it sore or tight, suitable for even the most sensitive skin. It is also a mild resurfacer, and it has succeeded in smoothing the texture of my skin whilst also minimising pores. For a treat, I use it in a tiny amount on my konjac sponge - the texture of the sponge providing an extra level of exfoliation.
It's also a really reasonable price; the 100ml size costs £35 and you need such a small amount that a bottle lasts for ages and also is invaluable for treating any blemishes I might have - this really helps to minimise redness and combat any spots.
