March empties: Gatineau firming throat gel here // Estee Lauder night cream here // Gatineau makeup remover here // Skinceuticals serum here // iS Clinical cleanser here // Sanex handcream here // L'Oreal brow artist plumper here
I've got through quite a few products of late so I thought it was time for another 'empties' post, although I do feel like a bit of a wally holding on to empty product bottles and tubes *just* to photograph them for a blog post #bloggerproblems
There are quite a few skincare bits in this post and a couple of my favourite items were by Gatineau. I have been using the throat gel for a couple of years because I think it's important to look after the decollete as well as the face - no one wants a nice smooth face and a neck that looks like leather! This is a lightweight gel that applies really nicely and sinks in quickly. I also rate their makeup remover, too.
Since my trial with iS Clinical I've really got into using a serum as part of my skincare regime. After cleansing morning and night (with the iS Clincal cleanser) I apply a serum before moisturising and it's made such a difference to my skin. I've also been sure to use correct moisturisers - a specific 'night' one for evening which helps to repair and nourish skin whilst you sleep. This Estee Lauder one is just a sample size but was really lovely.
I'm still swearing by my Body Shop hemp hand cream, which I apply at night as it's wonderful but can be quite greasy. This Sanex one was amazing for daily use, especially at work when I have to type or answer the phone and I don't want to do those things with greasy hands! I have such a hit and miss time with hand creams but I would definitely buy this one again.
Only one makeup product this time - the L'Oreal brow artist plumper. Now, I'm not really sure what this was supposed to do apart from tame my brows and add a touch of colour, which it did, but I don't think I'd buy it again, although it did set my brows in place well after I had powdered them. I am using a similar product from Collection now and it's actually much better, and cheaper, too! One good thing about the L'Oreal product was that the size of the brush was much smaller and therefore easier to use. However, apart from this, I didn't think it was worth the money and I wouldn't buy it again.
XO Amie
