Dust & Dance glitter // Warehouse skirt // Summer skies // Sunset // Topshop in store event // Lush buys // Spring florals // Ego shoes // Roses
As I type this Instagram roundup post it's dark and dull outside, not to mention decidedly chilly. Such a contrast to just a couple of weekends ago when the temperature was hovering around the 20 degree mark and t shirts and sandals were the order of the day.
Last Tuesday, I visited my local Topshop who were hosting an in store event, with discounts, a DJ and Dust & Dance providing festival glitter braids and face makeup. I had such a lovely time, I took my friend Rachel along and we spent a fun couple of hours trying on clothes and topping up our spring wardrobes before going out for dinner afterwards. I bought a couple of lovely pieces which I'll share on the blog soon.
It's become a bit of a self-made tradition that I visit my local Lush store each payday. Lush products aren't cheap, but they are ethical and free from nasties that don't benefit the skin. As I have mentioned I am slowly replacing the contents of my makeup bag / bathroom cabinet with more ethical, cruelty free brands and Lush has featured highly. I used a lot of their products anyway, but I am enjoying learning about new ones and repurchasing favourites. I recently bought a lip scrub and a face powder, and replaced an empty bottle of my go-to Karma fragrance.
I'm writing a feature about the three must have shoe styles for summer, and I think it's a safe bet to assume that a pair of slip on loafers are a strong contender. These ones are from EGO shoes and I loved the decadent brocade fabric on the front. They look so great with jeans and are super comfortable and super affordable, too.
