Sukin Foaming Cleanser here
My quest for cruelty free skincare and cosmetics has means that I've discovered a few brands that I'd not heard of before, Sukin being one of them. I was on the lookout for a foaming cleanser and I spotted this one in Boots - the brand Sukin was not one I'd heard of before but the claims on the packaging were encouraging - vegan, cruelty free (accredited by the Choose Cruelty Free organisation) and free of parabens and sulphates. On further investigation I discovered that this was an Australian brand, and that they pride themselves on ethics of sustainability, so not only are they cruelty free, they are also carbon neutral, grey water safe (meaning that you could reuse the water containing the products, for example to water plants, with no harmful effects) and they use recyclable packaging.
To start, I chose this foaming cleanser because I am trying to use as I go, and not hoard products to try, although there's already a long list of other Sukin products I'm keen to look at! I use a water based cleanser morning and night, after I've taken off my makeup or before I apply it, to ensure a clean base, and I apply this using a konjac sponge (more on those here.) The product comes in a pump top bottle so it is easy to dispense, and a small amount goes for miles! It foams beautifully and really helps to lift off any makeup residue and leave my skin feeling fresh and clean, but not taught or dry. The smell is fresh and almost herbal, not unpleasant and not overpowering.
I have been using this for a month or so and I absolutely love it; I will definitely be repurchasing it and I am thrilled to have discovered this brand (it's available at Boots and FeelUnique) and it isn't too expensive, around £8 for 125ml although Boots often have it on offer. Other products from the range that I'd like to try are the Antioxidant Eye Serum and the Hydrating Facial Masque.
