Spring Dressing

Dungarees are a staple I think I'll always want to wear, especially on those days I just can't be bothered. Like jumpsuits, they require minimal styling and they are so easy to throw on. I have an ecru pair which I want to feel like Alexa Chung in but realistically feel like a painter and decorator (see: this post) but these cropped flared ones are quite nice and actually, the only way a person of my short stature can wear flares, I think; without having to resort to incredibly high heels of course.

My jacket is an absolute favourite and I bought this when I first started the capsule wardrobe project. It was one of my first investments and although it was around £50, I have worn it consto since I got it, more in spring/summer/autumn but pretty much, as much as I can. The fit is perfect and even though it's faux leather, it's still really soft and hasn't gone all shiny like some pleather can do. My ballet flats are back too, although I think having worn these once this year I am going to have to retire them as they are so worn out. Sob!

I am so enjoying this lovely weather, I always get to a point in the seasons where I'm really excited to commit to summer or winter fashions, and whilst it's not quite warm enough for slip dresses and shorts, it's getting there!
