Empties: Nip & Fab Glycolic Fix Serum // L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil // The Body Shop Banana conditioner // Sukin Foaming Cleanser // The Body Shop Ginger shampoo // Lush Buche de Noel
The bathroom cabinet clearout continues with aplomb and I've done well not to replenish products that I think I need to - a quick whip through the contents of the cabinet always seems to throw up an alternative (it's a bit of a tardis!) Last week I ran out of makeup remover, but found a bottle of cleansing oil and a half used Emma Hardie cleansing balm, so both of those have been roped into action. I will get through the stocks, I'm sure!
Of the things I seem to stockpile, I have a fair few foundations and (oddly) several masks. I say oddly because I rarely use masks, but I have been trying them out bi-weekly to give my skin a bit of a treat and they are nice to use. I also seem to have a lot of moisturisers, again, something which is always needed, but I certainly don't need to buy any new ones for a while.
Back to the things I've finished up. I bought this Nip & Fab serum on a bit of a whim after seeing it in Elle (marketing win) and it also being on offer in Boots. It was nice but I didn't see it make a massive change to my face - I like to use serums before a moisturiser but I have to say I am rating the Botanics one I'm currently using over this one. Staying on the topic of skincare, the Sukin foaming cleanser was immense, and you can read more about it here (I've already repurchased it) and I also absolutely adored the Lush Buche de Noel cleanser (which is a Christmas limited edition so I am waiting until it's relaunched to buy it again!) I really enjoyed using the L'Oreal Extraordinary oil cleanser which removed makeup like a dream and changed from oil to a milky cleanser on the face, meaning it was easy to wash off.
For my hair, The Body Shop ginger shampoo is a total win for me - I bought it after having some real issues with my hair and scalp and this sorted it right out. I have already repurchased this in the larger size. The Banana conditioner is also amazing - I love the smell and the way it makes my hair feel so smooth. I have another conditioner to finish off before I rebuy this one, but I am sure that I will. I wish it came in a larger size as the ginger shampoo does, though.
XO Amie
