October empties: The Body Shop ginger shampoo // Dusty Girls earth cream // Lush Happy Happy Joy Joy // Garner BB cream // Eyeko eyeliner
It's been a minute since I've blogged but I am trying to get back into the swing of things after moving house. I still have a few bits and pieces at my mum and dads (where we stayed in between flats) and the unpacking continues so blogging has taken a bit of a backseat! I ended up slinging out a lot of 'empties' before moving because I couldn't bear the thought of taking empty product bottles to the new house, so this post is probably a little shorter than it could have been, but here's a selection of my faves that avoided the bin!
The Body Shop ginger shampoo is a staple for me. I always re-buy it just because it's so gentle, smells great and lasts ages. It's not supermarket cheap, but is affordable and a classic that I always reach for. I must have used it now for around a year or longer, and I will keep buying it! I usually pair it with their banana conditioner, but I've been trying the Lush Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioner which is also a hair perfume. I liked this, (and it did make my hair smell great!) but I don't think I'd rebuy it as I didn't find it was nourishing enough for my hair which is super thick and long.
I've finished up two foundation products (why do they always run out at once?!) and the Garnier one was nice, but fairly thick for a BB cream. This is one that I'd had in my makeup bag for a little while so I was quite glad to finish it up! I also finished the Dusty Girls Earth Cream, which I absolutely loved, after an auspicious start because it has a very strong fragrance. Once I got past this, I really enjoyed using it and I will look to rebuy it again for sure.
Finally, regular readers will know the continued struggle for the eyeliner holy grail. I came pretty close with this Eyeko one which was easy to use and lasted all day without smudging or flaking, and I'd definitely pick this up again although it is on the pricier side.
XO Amie
