I was lucky enough to win a competition towards the end of last year and the prize was a bottle of this Alpha H Liquid Gold Rose for myself and my best friend Casey. I was actually thrilled to win it because I'd heard a lot about this product in the blogosphere - and it's also pricey at £37 for 100ml, so it's unlikely it's something I would have bought for myself!
The product itself makes quite grand claims - for example, that 90% of users saw an increase in hydration after one application - but these are sort of substantiated by the fact that the product is a Silver winner in the 2017 Pure Beauty awards, so it must be well liked! Containing 5% glycolic acid, it's to be applied in the evening to cleansed skin and allowed to work overnight.
The texture of the product is smooth, and the scent not unlike Turkish Delight! Casey and I have been comparing notes on it and Casey felt that the product was fairly sticky on application and didn't sink in as much as she had hoped. I am still on the fence with it really and I don't want to commit to a full review until I've used it properly - following some skin consultations I had towards the end of 2016 and start of 2017, I learnt that you need to give any new product 2 weeks to work, to allow your skin a full 'cycle' of renewal before you can really judge it properly.
Props for the packaging, though - Alpha H have made the bottle and outer carton super pretty and luxe to look at, and they look lovely on my bathroom shelf!
XO Amie
