With the onset of autumn, I of course start to think about my cold weather footwear options. I have a couple of pairs of boots from last season that I will definitely be pulling out of storage, but I've noticed a micro trend for a style of boot that seems to be everywhere at the minute - hiking boots.
Now, these aren't the classic Millets lace ups. Whilst they do lace up, they are probably a little less practical, and a bit more fashionable. A chunky sole with visible tread is a must, as is a padded collar and a neutral, dark colour boot - black, navy, brown or olive - means these boots are versatile and will work with any look.
Like the biker boot, they look great worn with jeans or to add a bit of edge to a pretty dress. Perfect for autumn - they are the 'boots' to the classic 'tights and boots' combo we all reach for once the temperature dips - they are comfortable as well. It's a trend to embrace!
